It’s the time for Wayanad Community Seed Fest 2023; a signature program conducted by Wayanad District Tribal Development Action Council (WDTDAC) in collaboration with Community Agrobiodiversity Centre of MSSRF (MSSRF CAbC) and SeedCare. WDTDAC has played a key role in ensuring access and availability of quality seeds of traditional crop varieties to the tribal farmers. With the Plant Genome Savior Award received by the team in 2012 by PPV&FRA New Delhi, the council initiated Regional Genome Savior Award for the tribal farm families engaged in conservation of traditional crop and livestock diversity. Every year 3 awards worth Rs. 50000/- (25000,15000,10000) are given to tribal conservators as part of the Community Seed Fest. In 2023, we again invite award applications from interested tribal farm families
